Personal Information provided to us by you

You will provide some or all of the following information to us when you purchase goods, register a customer account online with us, book an appointment with our showroom and/or sign up for newsletters:

• Your name, suffix, date of birth, gender;
• Contact details including phone number, postal and email addresses;
• Payment method and delivery details if you purchase goods; 
• Company details, VAT information and car registration number - if you fill out our showroom appointment form. 

Information we collect when you interact with us

A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on your computer's hard drive. The file is added and the cookie helps analyse web traffic or lets us know when you visit a particular site.

• Strictly necessary cookies: these cookies are essential for you to browse the website and use its features, such as accessing secure areas of the website;
• Performance cookies: we record details of the resources that you access to visit our website (e.g. URL addresses). This helps us analyse data about web page traffic and improve our website in order to tailor it to customer needs. We only use
  this information for statistical analysis purposes and then the data is removed from the system;
• Preference cookies: these cookies allow a website to remember choices you have made in the past, like what your username and password are so you can automatically log in;
• Session cookies: these cookies are temporary and expire once you close your browser (or once your session ends).

Personal Information is strictly used where we have a legitimate interest in using your personal information:

• to fulfill orders you submitted; 
• to provide you access to our secure customer portal;
• to schedule showroom appointments and provide you access to our head office client parking;
• to issue newsletters to your inbox;
• to administer and monitor our websute, including to ensure that content is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your device to allow you to participate in interactive features when you choose to. 

You have the option to unsubscribe from our e-mails through a link at the bottom of every email we send to you.

We will not sell or distribute your personal information to anyone unless we are required by law to do so. We will send personally identifiable information about you to other companies or people when:

• we have your consent to share the information;
• we need to share your information to provide the product or service you have requested;
• we need to share the information to companies who work on ForestOne behalf to provide the product to you (unless we tell you differently, these companies do not have any right to use the personally identifiable information we provide to them beyond what is necessary to assist us).

We retain the information you provide for the following periods:

• for as long as you subscribe to receive our newsletters;
• for as long as ForestOne is otherwise required to retain it by law.

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access, we have put in place physical, electronic and managerial procedures to ensure the information we collect online is kept safe.

User login: where you have chosen a password which enables you to access certain parts of our website, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you to choose an effective, secure password and not to share your password with anyone or to re-use a password that you have used elsewhere.

Website encryption: the website uses HTTPS, which encrypts data in transit using SSL/TLS protocols. We also utilise server (AWS Security Group) and 3rd party firewall (Imunify360) to protect the website against common website attacks. Magento will temporarily disable accounts if it detects unusual sign in activity. We have also implemented reCAPTCHA on the site to prevent automated bots from engaging with the site.

Server location: all platform and ForestOne servers are located in Australia.

We recommend only connecting to secure wireless networks that you trust to reduce the risk of unauthorised people intercepting
your online activity. Beware of the risks of using public WIFI.

All the data that we collect from or about you is primarily processed within, and stored at, on secure servers located in Australia. For the purpose of issuing our newsletter, your email address may be processed and stored in other countries which are in compliance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988.

No information you share via our website is used for Marketing purposes. However, if you do attend one of our showroom events and decide to share your information, we will add you to our newsletter as well.
